Dr Michelle Barker is the Director of the Research Software Alliance, which bring research software communities together to collaborate on the advancement of research software. From 2018-2020 she was Chair of the OECD Global Science Forum Expert Group on Digital Workforce Capacity and Digital Skills for Data-Intensive Research. She has led international and Australian initiatives to advance digital skills and training, including as Director of Skilled Workforce and Partnerships at the Australian Research Data Commons.
