Pandemic impact of existing international collaboration
Dear members of this Interest Group,
Yesterday Katharina Flicker (a colleague of mine) published an interview with Nobel Laureate Joachim Frank (see https://www.eoscsecretariat.eu/news-opinion/interview-nobel-laureate-joachim-frank-science). In this interview he stated that the “us against them” mentality might defeat existing international cooperation. What do you think about that?
Best regards

I would agree, but I also think what he says regarding what else the EOSC could do is equally important, namely "Lobby for legislation that curtails publishers of scientific journals in their profiteering, one of the main reasons for the current barriers." That ethos is certainly something we recognise in both OpenAIRE and at Jisc.

Yes, I also think that this is an important aspect! Could you please describe the experience you made in OpenAIRE and Jisc regarding this topic?
