Bio: Susanne Burger is a trained lawyer and East Asian specialist. Since entering the BMBF in 1986 she has worked in European and International Affairs in several positions. Prior to her current post, she had been Minister Counselor for Education, Research and Space at the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EU in Brussels. Since 2018 she is Director General for European and International Relations in the BMBF.
